UPSC NDA Exam Date 2024: Eligibility, Salary, Exam Pattern

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has made the UPSC NDA Notification 2024 available at Applicants may complete the application form if they meet the NDA eligibility requirements. The UPSC Calendar 2024 states that the NDA 1 test 2024 will take place on April 21, 2024.

In order to proceed to the SSB Interview phase of the selection process, candidates must receive a minimum score of 360–370 on the NDA exam. The UPSC NDA NA Cutoff will be announced by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) when the entire selection process is finished. What is the NDA & NA Exam?

The National Defense Academy & Naval Academy test is referred to as the NDA & NA exam. The NDA & NA exam is conducted to recruit eligible candidates in the Army, Air Force, and Navy wing of  NDA & Indian Naval Academy Courses. The NDA and NA exams are administered twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

The NDA 1 exam and NDA 2 exam are the names of the two exams, respectively. The most sought-after defense exam for applicants hoping to enlist in the Indian military is the NDA exam. There are two phases to the exam: the NDA written exam and the SSB interview.

NDA Eligibility Criteria 2024

Candidates must meet the requirements outlined by the relevant authorities in order to apply for admission to any of the three wings of the Indian Armed Forces through the NDA & NA exam.

Before deciding to take the exam, candidates must satisfy a number of requirements (education, age, and nationality) listed in the NDA eligibility standards. Candidates must also meet certain physical criteria and have certain medical conditions in order to be eligible.

NDA Eligibility Criteria: Nationality

The aspirant must be:

a citizen of India, or

a subject of Nepal, or

an Indian who traveled from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently relocating to India.

As long as the candidate falls into one of the aforementioned categories (2) or (3) and has an eligibility certificate from the Indian government. On the other hand, candidates who are Nepali Gorkha subjects would not require an eligibility certificate.


NDA Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit

Candidates must make sure that their age is within the NDA age limit range in order to apply for the NDA exam. Applicants can read the following to find out more about the age restrictions for the exam:

  • Candidates who are single and born between July 02, 2005, and July 1, 2008, are the only ones eligible to take the NDA 1 exam in 2024.

The lowest height that is permitted is 157 cm. Candidates may waive the minimum height limit if they are from one of the following areas or are very talented male athletes:

NDA Application Form 2024

On the UPSC’s official website, the NDA application form is made available along with the official notification. On December 21, 2022, the NDA 1 application form is expected to be made available. Candidates may submit their applications through January 10, 2023, provided they meet the eligibility requirements. 

The date of the publication of the NDA 2 application form has also been published by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Opening day is set for May 17, 2023, and closing day is set for June 6, 2023.

  • Candidates can access the E-Admit Card for the NDA and Naval Academy Examination via the link on the home page.
  • Candidates must read and accept the instruction page that appears after clicking the link.
  • After that, candidates will be able to use their Roll Number or Registration ID to get their admission cards.
  • Select one of these and fill in the commission’s needed information.
  • Once your information has been submitted, the UPSC NDA admission card will show up on the screen.
  • For future use, get it and print the admission card.

NDA Salary 2024

The NDA salary includes a range of benefits and allowances, including perks, extra benefits, and allowances. Depending on his rank and location, a serviceman may earn different benefits and allowances.

A stipend of INR 56,100 is given to students during their training time. Once they are commissioned into various wings, trainees get the salary provided by the government.

The NDA and NA exams are required of applicants who wish to enlist in the Indian Army, Indian Navy, or Indian Air Force. The test is administered twice a year, in September and April.
